Boldness, for me, has never looked like recklessness. It looks like obedience — moving when God says move, even when every part of you is waiting to feel ready first.

I've second-guessed myself more times than I can count. Whether to post a video, speak in front of a group, share something publicly that felt too personal. My son went through his own version of it when he made his high school soccer team and immediately started wondering if he actually belonged there. That's what fear does — it disguises itself as wisdom and tries to convince you the door isn't really open.

What I've learned is that boldness doesn't have a standard size. For one person it's launching something new. For another it's raising prices, saying no, or choosing rest when everything around you says push harder. The size of the step isn't what makes it bold. It's whether it stretches you into obedience.

My process is simple: pray first, prepare as best you can, then decide to move before you feel fully ready. Not chasing confidence — anchoring in truth and going anyway.

Joshua 1:9 is never far from me: be strong and courageous, don't be afraid or discouraged, because God goes with you wherever you go. That reminder changes the whole equation.

What bold move has been sitting in front of you? You don't have to feel ready. You just have to take the step.
